 When he sends you a file you should see the buddy name and your account
 name and the protocol in the file transfer request window, if that doesn't
 happen then that should be fixed (patches welcome). But again, that has
 *nothing* to do with seeing the protocol in the buddy list which is how
 you started this whole thing. Like elb and I have said, if there are
 problems with the abstraction or if it has not gone far enough those
 should be FIXED, the abstraction itself is not a problem.
