 I think we definitely should make the searching non-blocking.

 I think that canceling is a good thing to allow.

 I don't see the callback ordering being a problem for the UI. If you click
 the first log, it's going to call a non-blocking read. Then you click th
 second, calling it again. The UI can simply ignore the old callback at
 that point. But yes, canceling would be helpful.

 Tags might be useful, but I don't know how often that would get used.
 Anyway, it's unrelated to non-blocking logging. ;)
