#2403: Selecting vertical, then horizontal tab style doesn't change labels to
horizontal

 When selecting vertical ("Left vertical"/"Right vertical") and then normal
 ("Top"/"Bottom"/"Left"/"Right") tab style while ONE chat or IM window is
 open, the text on tab label is still vertical. After opening more tabs,
 labels become horizontal again, but when you close all background tabs, it
 is vertical again.

 Step-by-step:
 1. Close all chat and IM windows
 2. Set ''Preferences'' - ''Tabs'' - ''Placement'' to "... vertical"
 3. Open a chat or IM window
 4. Set ''Preferences'' - ''Tabs'' - ''Placement'' to normal
 ("Top"/"Bottom"/"Left"/"Right")
 5. Tab label is still vertical
 6. Open another tab
 7. Tab labels are horizontal now
 8. Close the background tab
 9. Labels are vertical again
