 I'm seeing this error as well with Pidgin (jabber accounts only) and
 Synergy.  It's triggered when synergy "flips" to my alternate screen.  The
 machine doesn't lock up, but the cursor "disappears" and keyboard input is
 also ignored.

 Sleeping allows me to control the keyboard and mouse again, but after
 logging in, the problem resumes.  I think this problem is with Synergy
 since about half the time Pidgin has already crashed by this point, and
 seemingly shouldn't be affecting my screen input.  Also, when the system
 is heavily loaded, synergy acts in similar ways.

 FYI, I'm using Vista and Mac OS 10.4.  I'm looking for a ticket on
 Synergy's site, but am not finding one, so I'll submit this ticket to
 them.
