#2431: Images not displaying in AIM direct connection
------------------------------------------+---------------------------------
 Reporter: sandwalker | Type: defect
   Status: new | Priority: minor
Component: pidgin (gtk) | Version: 2.1.0
Keywords: AIM direct connection images | Pending: 0

I run Ubuntu Feisty Fawn with Gnome 2.18.1. Since Gaim became Pidgin,
I've noticed that images fail to display when sent via direct connection
over the AIM protocol, in either direction. The person at the other end
(presumably using the proper AIM client) can see the images they/I send,
but I cannot see the images I/they send; all I see is just my/their name
followed by blank space. This was working fine up to and including Gaim
2.0 beta 6, but it definitely does not work now. Not on my computer, at
least. I'm rarely in Windows, so I haven't tried with the Windows client.
The same problem was evident in Ubuntu Edgy Eft as well. Hopefully
someone might know if it's just me, or if it's a genuine bug somewhere.
