#2445: Double links in plain-text representation of message
-------------------------------------------+--------------------------------
 Reporter: Liorithiel | Type: defect
   Status: new | Priority: minor
Component: pidgin (gtk) | Version: 2.1.0
Keywords: plaintext message double link | Pending: 0
-------------------------------------------+--------------------------------
Pidgin generates irritating plain-text representation of links in
 messages.

It is especially annoying when links are long. I understand that pidgin
allows to name a link (I do not use pidgin), but most of my friends don't
use that feature. My proposition: don't put second link inside <> when it
would be the same as the first link.
