#2469: New windows resize vertically
-------------------------+--------------------------------------------------

Priority: minor | Component: winpidgin (gtk)

-------------------------+--------------------------------------------------
I choose to not use the tabs for IMing. Having just installed Pidgin
2.1.0, as I double click each buddy's username the new window that springs
to life is a bit taller than the previous window. It is larger, but only
in the vertical direction, NOT the horizontal. I demonstrate this in the
attached animated gif (which I hope works) by opening 14 windows and
positioning each slightly to the right of the other so you can see the two
windows against each other for comparison. While I didn't measure it
precisely, it seems to be vertically resizing by the same amount each time
a new window opens. Also notice that once the size reaches to "the whole
 screen" territory, it stops resizing.

This resizing behavior seems to be dependent on the size of the last
''active'' window. Let's say I have a random window - let's call it
window 1 - open. I open window 2 (which is inexplicably larger than
window 1). Then I go into window 1 and resize it so that it is now larger
than window 2. Then I open window 3, and this time it is larger than
window 1 (which HAD been the largest until I opened 3).

I can reproduce this bug all the time, whether I open the window manually
via double-clicking or someone IMs me, thus opening a new window
automatically - the new window is still vertically larger than the last.
