 msi better than exe because,
         1. You can deploy them in an active directory environment through
 group policy's where as EXE installers you can not in that way. The
 software can be reditributed in active directory environments (most secure
 Windows big enterprise networks)

 how dou you think i (and many other people) should upgrade 200Pc's from
 gaim to pidgin? or upgrade pidgin? going from one pc to other and upgrade
 it?

         2. software easier to upgrade/patch

 ok... then why dou you don't merge the installer? you can then only
 support msi-packages

 For me it's important because it would be a great opportunity for many
 people to get to know this fantastic software... making the rollup easier.
