 I really don't like the green orbs all over the user interface indicating
 that someone is available, and I talked to others who complained about
 them as well. They seem obtrusive and clutter up the buddy list. What's
 more, they confused me when I first started gaim. Why do I need an icon to
 tell me that someone isn't away?

 I also didn't like the change of the away message indicator to a clock.

 This is a very simple patch - all I've done is replace every occurrence of
 a green orb with a transparent png, and replaced the clock images with the
 extended_away images. It probably isn't the best solution, but it makes
 the UI much more tolerable.
