 This is somewhat related to bug #2419.
 That bug complains about the waste of space in the top bar due to the
 buddy icon being placed there.

 The buddy icon should be moved down where it used to be next to the input
 box. If people don't want to look at it, there's even an option to turn it
 off, but I happen to enjoy the buddy icons of my friends and --more
 importantly-- it's a quick visual identifier of the person you're
 currently talking to.

 Having every icon reduced to a 50x50 pixel blob or however small they are
 in the corner now, from an original of 200x200 or 100x100 on some IM
 networks, is just '''painful''' to look at. As if they weren't small
 enough already.

 Please fix this back to the way it was.
