This has been an issue since gaim 2.0beta1. This was not an issue in gaim
1.5.
This is tested only using the AOL protocol.
When pidgin loses its connection while being idle (you may not have to be
idle, i haven't tested this), and it reconnects once the connection is
restored, pidgin WILL NOT restore the idle state (you will be unidle on
reconnect). Furthermore, pidgin will no long go idle until it is exited
and reopened.
Easy way to test:
1. let pidgin go idle and show that it's idle.
2. somehow drop your connection (w/o touching the comp; i.e. disconnect
the modem)
3. watch pidgin lose it's connection (don't touch computer!)
4. restore connection
5. watch pidgin reconnect and your status is UNIDLE.
furthermmore, it WILL NOT go idle in 10 or so minutes. and even if you use
the computer/pidgin again throughout the day, it still will not go idle.
