 I'm in a corporate environment where they block part of MSN messenger.
 The HTTP method still works and I have been using pidgin that way for a
 month.

 On the same day that Microsoft came out with a new hotmail login page
 (week of Aug 15th, 2007), my pidgin stopped working.   I can still login
 and see user status for everybody.  I can not send or receive messages.
