 Currently, gtkrequest.c sets the "rules hint" for the treeview for list
 fields, which causes the background of each list row to be shaded
 differently.  Since shading is also used to indicate which fields are
 selected, this can be confusing to users.  For instance, a three-item list
 with the first or third item pre-selected will display as three rows with
 all different background shadings, making it unclear which row if any is
 selected.  I will attempt to attach a picture demonstrating the issue, and
 will also attach a patch removing the rules hint invocation.
