 follow up to ticket # 2710 that I submitted earlier. I received an e-mail
 asking for a more specific description of the smiley problem.

 If I instant message someone using AIM (either version) the crying smiley
 does not work. I am using the default standard Pidgin smileys that come
 with the program. The smiley appears to the AIM client as  :'(
 instead of a face. Also, the smiley with the tongue sticking out and the
 grin appear in a text format :D or :P instead of the actual smiley. I am
 using Pidgin 2.0.1 so this may have been fixed in newer versions, but I
 really do not like the new version so I am wondering if I can fix this on
 my 2.0.1 without having to download a new version.
 Note: If AIM users use the crying smiley it does appear correctly in
 Pidgin, just not the other way around.
