 im using Pidgin 2.1.1 and i asked my friends who are using yahoo messenger
 if they can see my avatar the first time i use Pidgin 2.1.1, they all said
 that on their lists only a smiley is displayed (as my avatar), thus it
 appears to them im not using any avatars.
 so i tried to see it for myself, i logged in to a yahoo account using
 yahoo messenger 8.1.0 and another yahoo account logged in using Pidgin
 2.1.1.. they were right. the avatars or any avatar i use doesnt work and
 doesnt display on yahoo messenger users.
 please see attachment.
 (the encircled smaller image should appear on the yahoo messenger list,
 and the larger circle shows that the avatar is not displayed on chat
 windows)
