Comment:

 I don't know what the random IP addresses you're using are, but that isn't
 similar to what `login.oscar.aol.com` resolves to for me.

 If that name wont resolve, it seems like there must be something wrong
 with your DNS.  There was another report of this (see one of the later
 posts in #2097) and he was able to work around the dns issue by using
 `login.messaging.aol.com`.
