 PROBLEM:
 The new UI layout in Pidgin 2.1.x adds an area to the chat window. When
 using tabbed mode this means a duplication of information which may not be
 desired.

 WHAT WAS EXPECTED:
 To be able to configure Pidgin to use less screen real estate.

 SUGGESTED REMEDY:
 Add a preference to not display the new UI area.

 COMMENTS:
 I realise this area is planned for future usage with protocol controls,
 but I'm sure there are a large number of users out there who would like
 the option to hide this (even in the future) and save screen real estate.
