 I am using Pidgin 2.1.1 in Windows Vista Business Edition (32bit) on a
 Dell GX745 desktop computer. Off and on when I have a chat window open and
 try to insert a question mark it will give me a É. When I start getting
 the preceeding character I also get other special characters when trying
 to use quotes, colons, and square brackets. It appears to be switching to
 a french language keyboard.

 While this has been happening I have been testing other applications
 (notepad, GroupWise email client, firefox) and the keyboard is working
 fine there. It appears to only happen in Pidgin.
