 I recently switched over from Trillian and have been very happy so far.
 There is only one idea from Trillian I would love to see implemented:

 My suggestion is that Pidgin has an option to run only from the System
 Tray.  That way it would not take up space in the start bar.  This is
 useful for those of us who end up having many things running at once.  It
 could just be added into the option list "System Tray Icon -> Show system
 tray icon:" with something like "Only"

 I suggest this only for the main buddy list window.  I'm fine with the
 message windows etc. using the start bar.
