 Well well... gotta love those pidgin developers.

 First, I am not "using" this version, I am only testing for *regressions*
 every now and then. Funny, every other project would be thankful for this.
 Check your attitude, I was not complaining in any way. I'm not expecting
 unreleased code to work without problems.

 The regression testing has a reason: for some time I have noticed problems
 with releases that could have easily been fixed before release because
 they are being fixed some days after release most of the time. Fine, so we
 wait for the next release, which has those bugs fixed... but contains new
 ones.

 I understand that you don't want trac to be spammed by hundreds and
 thousands of duplicates concerning code from MTN. And I see that you are
 tired to explain stuff to users of MTN code on IRC. Fine. But other
 projects don't have such problems. Perhaps you just have to change your
 development cycle/process. Like doing longer cycles and having a few weeks
 of freeze time to stableize the code before release. Or at least not
 telling users to stay away from MTN at all cost but for example to test
 every week and report bugs if they are still occuring one week or two
 after the initial find.
