#4284: Aliasing a collapsed contact changes the alias of the top buddy instead of
the contact alias

When right clicking a collapsed contact and selecting "Alias..." the alias
that is changed is the alias for the top-listed buddy account. This is
not the expected behavior if you assume that Pidgin should be a contact-
based application which abstracts away the details of any particular IM
 protocol/account.

 I suggest two possible solutions:
 a) right clicking a collapsed contact and clicking "Alias..." will change
the alias of the contact only.
 b) right clicking a collapsed contact would give multiple options such as
"Alias <buddy account type>, or "Alias contact..." so it is explicit as to
 what you are aliasing.

Personally, I like to have all of my contacts aliased, but the buddy
accounts within these contacts I believe should retain their naked buddy
account names. When I realized that I wasn't really doing what I thought
I was doing by right clicking collapsed contacts, it was very tedious to
go back and remove the alises of all of the buddy accounts. Currently the
only way to alias a contact is to expand the contact, and then right click
the top-level contact and change the alias -- at the least, it should be
much easiser to change the alias of a contact in a contact-based IM system
 like Pidgin.
