 This has to do with a new feature that the ChangeLog said was introduced
 in this release, 2.3.0, the option to keep conversations open after a tab
 or window is closed. When that checkbox is '''unchecked''' (so that
 conversations are kept "open" after a window is closed), whenever a
 conversation is restarted with someone, the window reopens but does not
 have focus and often comes up behind several other applications' windows.

 This may be a personal preference, but I would like it better if the
 window acted just as a brand new IM window that steals focus from any app
 running. By the way, I'm running on Windows XP, in case that's relevant.
