 I don't see why not; what kinds of errors would need to be enumerated?  Do
 we want a separate error for "couldn't resolve that hostname for that
 proxy", for example, or is a catch-all
 `PURPLE_CONNECTION_ERROR_PROXY_ERROR` (akin to
 `PURPLE_CONNECTION_ERROR_NETWORK_ERROR`) good enough?
