 In Pidgin under Preferences - Tools - Network I have the following:
 AutoDetect IP address            (checked)
 Proxy Type                        User Enviormental Settings

 When I try to connect to MySpace IM or Yahoo IM I get:   502 (-1) Proxy
 connection error

 Here are my IE Proxy settings:
 User Proxy Server for your LAN   (checked)
 Address                           isa2
 Port                              8080

 Nothing else checked under Local Area Network settings

 I also tried using the IP address instead of name for the Proxy and that
 made no difference.

 I can connect when I am not in my workplace network using the proxy.
