 I have pretty much the same problem. I am using 2.2.1 on Ubuntu 7.10. I
 can connect to myspace, but it shows all my friends as offline, even if I
 am currently IMing them. So they see me, and can IM me, and then I can IM
 back, but they still appear offline in my buddies list. Thanks
