 I tried browsing the documentation - that didn't help at all. I tried
 setting bg[NORMAL] in my .gtkrc-2.0 file and that only changed the bottom
 "border" bit. Anybody (specifically developers) have any suggestions on
 how to change Pidgin back to the behaviour of previous versions?
