Comment:

 I am not at all sure which gnutls is stable enough. I was googling around
 for another gnutls bug last night and I came upon a post that says it's
 fixed in 2.0.4. I am not sure if what I was searching for and this are the
 same bug, but at least < 2.0.4 is known to be buggy.

 Closing this as invalid as I don't believe this to be a pidgin bug.
