 Is it possible to add a parameter (preference) to libPurple to allow
 storing log files (buddy chat history files) on a path of my choice?

 Currently they are placed beneath ~/.purple/logs and the only means to
 store them elsewhere is to make that logs a symlink to desired place (this
 has many drawbacks under Linux and can't be performed nicely under
 Windows).

 I haven't found the parameter to assign the log files location in
 ~/.purple/prefs.xml (using the Pidgin 2.2.2-1.fc7)
