Comment:

 I don't know if adjusting the behavior on screen size is a great idea. It
 makes assumptions about the type of window management you're using.
 Someone using Pidgin on a N800 would always have their windows fullscren,
 but someone using a tiling window manager like ion, would probably prefer
 to keep these things in check.

 Would upping that arbitrary magic number (9) serve the same task for you?
