#4419: chat window refresh problem with animated smileys
--------------------+-------------------------------------------------------

--------------------+-------------------------------------------------------
The chat window (the upper part of dialog when sending message) is not
refreshed after message is sent in some situations.

(Pidgin 2.3.1 on Windows + GTK version installed by pidgin 2.3.1 windows
 installer)

The problem appears for me, when:

 1) an animated smiley theme installed and activated ( I have installed
 QIP-like smiley theme - http://developer.pidgin.im/attachment/ticket/938
 /gaim-QIPsmileys.tar.gz )

 2) the chat window is first filled by messages so vertical scrollbar
 starts scrolling down..

 3) the window is resized, so scrolling is not needed anymore and there is
a free space in chat window at least for one more message to appear
without need of scrollbar activated again...

 4) some animated smiley is already displayed in chat window..

 5) user sends a message then

The message is sent, the sound is played, but the message is not
displayed. To Display the message user must click the chat window or
 resize the dialog.

Note 1: Some users see this problem also when no animated smiley theme
 used - see
 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gaim/+bug/67224/comments/15 of
 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gaim/+bug/67224

Note 2: The problem can be hard to reproduce, the steps I have described
may not work for all users..

Note 3: I see it in ICQ conversation, I have not tested other protocols

Note 4: I didn't test this problem in on Pidgin/Linux yet

Note 5: This problem has the same behavior as
http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/938 but that bug was related to older
versions of pidgin and is marked as fixed now
