 When I send or recieve a message containing å ä or ö (Swedish letters) the
 message that gets sent is completely empty (even all other letters are
 removed). No error message anywhere and my log still contains whole
 message even though my friend only recieves a zero length message.
 This only happens during Direct IM.
 No plugins were active active.

 I have only been able to try with a friend who also uses Pidgin (version
 2.3.1 I believe).
