 Are you refering to chat rooms or IM contacts?

 For contacts, I see myself as being in a room (my computer, so to say). So
 I see people coming inside through a door and leave through a door, and
 preferably they would use the door on the left to enter and the door on
 the right to leave...

 I guess in the end this is a very personal thing, so maybe a poll has to
 be led, or just different themes need to be shipped.
