Comment (by blubb0r):
Well, I already gave you some examples.
Okay, just imagine you were a user and wanted to find a new smiley theme.
First you would try to use search. It begins with the fact that there
isn't a search form on the home page. So you have to go to the "Support
and Development" page and search from there. After finding the "Smiley
Themes" page, you can't find a link to a page where you can find some
themes. I know, you don't provide third-party stuff and I should use
Google, but a good site would give some links anyway.
Another example: You want to program an plugin and need to have the
Libpurple development headers. Where can you find them? Here you could
also use Google, that's clear, but as I said, this isn't very user-
friendly.
Example number 3: You want to compile the source code on a Linux system.
Of course, there are instructions for this in the downloaded package, but
as you probably know, there are lots of users who don't know this. You
should everytime remember that also a person who doesn't know a lot about
computers maybe wants to use your software (in German we call these people
"DAU", I don't know if there is an English translation ;-) ).
Then, the plugin HOWTOs should be listed on the Development page and not
on this page called "Related sites", because nobody searches THERE for
plugin HOWTOs (maybe there should be an extra page about plugins).
Well, I could still give you more examples, but later please. ;)
'''All in all, this is just MY opinion, it may be good if some other users
commented on this, too.'''
Sincerely (<- Sorry, i misspelled this word in my first post, as I said,
English isn't my native language)
me
