 Just downloaded pidgin-2.0.2, ran:

 ./configure
 gmake
 sudo gmake install

 Got a failure upon trying to install libxmpp.soU

 There are no libraries of the name libxmpp.* in /usr/local/lib/purple-2/
 (even though the install warned that it was relinking libxmpp.la)

 Any help?

 (and yes, I do have sudo permissions)
