Comment:

 The official client (build 679) limits password lengths to 10 characters.
 So does the password changing facility at
 http://settings.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.changepassword
 (which started working long enough for me to do some testing).

 c35a2f230419eec9a9f4c09a70ada344c7271b08 (will be in msimprpl 0.10)
 increases the password length limit to 10 characters, to match the
 official limit. I can sign in with a 10-character password (verified).
