 I have noticed that the history (log) for some of my buddies contains logs
 of other unrelated buddies, which should not be there. I have seen the FAQ
 and this is not a case of "Why are my logs combining the logs of several
 of my buddies?" which happens when you combine several of them in th
 buddy-list. On the contrary, this issue is quite different and I have
 double-checked that the buddies are NOT combined in the buddy-list. This
 seems to be a bug, and hopefully it will be addressed soon.

 I use Pidgin 2.0.2 (Windows XP) but this was also seen in Pidgin 2.0.1
 (Linux 2.6.20-1-amd64 x86_64)
