 After following
 [http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/Protocol%20Specific%20Questions#HowdoIchangemyresourcestring
 the instructions in the FAQ] to change my resource string on an XMPP
 account, I just did a grep in my .purple directory out of curiosity, and
 found that the file 'pounces.xml' still contained the old resource
 string... (also the file 'accels', but it was all comments in it so I
 don't know if that's important).

 Anyway, I restarted Pidgin and enabled the account again, and now I find
 that all my old pounces are gone, and pounces.xml only contains the sole
 pounce I had on another account.

 Clearly when the resource is modified, 'pounces.xml' should be updated too
 (and maybe pounces in the config file that don't correspond to any account
 should not be deleted...)
