 Look at the screenshot I just attached, which shows various problems of
 the current design:

 1.) The window title is the contact alias of the active tab, the window
 icon is the avatar of that contact. This is nice for single-conversation
 windows, but REALLY BAD for tabbed conversations. In this case, the window
 title should be "Chat conversations" or something and the window icon
 should be the pidgin icon or perhaps some icon depending if you have
 unread messages or something. The way it is now, if minimized, it looks
 like there is only one account in this conversation window.

 2.) The nick of the active tab is displayed twice (window border and tab
 header) => redundand

 3.) You can only see the status of the active tab, not the other tabs, so
 you won't notice if the status changes for other tabs anymore :(

 4.) Displaying ICQ UIN or other accounts stuff is pointless... it doesn't
 serve any purpose, just takes away screen space and confuses the user

 5.) The avatar image is now about 1/2 the old size, making it very hard to
 see.

 So the aim was to show status text/away messages in the chat window (which
 is nice) but by doing this, SO MANY things have turned worse...
