 It is really intended only as a Windows fix because there is no way to
 configure Windows' window management.  It isn't necessary elsewhere
 because you can (should be able to) simply get your window manager to do
 it for you.  Overriding / reimplementing WM features is a can of worms
 that you really don't want to open.
