 datallah: I don't see what you mean about login.oscar.aol.com resolving to
 a local IP.    Is 172.30.54.44 internal?

 sfranklin1717: When you log into an AIM account Pidgin connects to
 multiple oscar servers.  It looks like your getting disconnected from one
 of those servers (the "alerts" server).  Technically that shouldn't cause
 your whole account to get disconnected, but it looks like the code is
 written such that if one connection is closed then Pidgin signs you off.
 I don't know why I would have written it that way, it's probably just an
 oversight.  I'll take a look at this again and if that is indeed the case
 I'll see if I can fix it.
