 It seems that we are beginning to move in a direction where a single
 protocol can have multiple appearances to the end user. This is the case
 with XMPP and Google Talk. We make it appear as if they're different
 protocols, but they're really one protocol with different default values
 for its setup parameters.

 We could formalize this concept, and fill the protocols combo box not with
 protocols, but with these views. This patch makes a feeble attempt at
 that, by introducing the concept of a "protocol detail" which, in addition
 to the protocol itself, determines the default setup values.

 Either way, I continue to maintain this particular diff in my
 org.maemo.garage.pidgin.pidgin.combo-boxes branch. My next move will be to
 make a Monotone database available continuously at idefix.go-nix.ca and
 push to it every once in a while.
