 I am currently experimenting a similar issue to the original description.
 On my case, all MSN, !Y and AOL accounts are currently connected.

 If have tabs enabled and normally keep the window opened all day (meaning
 either minimized or background). When new messages arrive on previous
 conversations this window is not blinking on my taskbar. Which is
 frustrating because people think I am not paying attention to them.

 Do not remember if this happens also with new chat sessions (people
 starting a new conversation with me).

 Please advise if further details are required.
