 maintained subscription.  The password is only 8 characters long and
 contains no special characters.  It is numbers, upper case, and lower
 case.  The account isn't an odd name either; you can see it in the debug
 log.

 This also happens with AIM usernames. My account needed its password
 changed and when I changed it on the AIM website and then changed it in
 Pidgin, it says incorrect password as well. I tried deleting the account
 in Pidgin and readding it with the new password and it still gives
 incorrect password. I too have attached my debug info, but I don't know if
 it would be any help
