 Heres a thought,

 I hope I can get you to understand this. I chat in IRC a lot, sometimes I
 don't want th e window open all the time, how about I'm able to "detach"
 the tab to the buddy list or just set it to when I close the IRC window
 out always minimize to Pidgin's buddy list.

 Same thing with conversations. Instead of closing them out to get rid of
 them, minimize to buddy list for more eloquent conversation management?

 Good idea?

 BTW Trac so slow......
