 it's been more than a month now without any news here. is there still
 progress on this?
 i'm working with a somewhat outdated version of pidgin and this patchset.
 it works fine so far. however, opening the emoticon list takes 100% cpu
 and lags a lot. also, if there are many emoticons, the list exceeds the
 dimensions of the desktop, so the list should have a scrollbar.
 great work anyway ;)
