 I've also experienced this issue (about pidgin crashing on exit) with the
 Buddy Notes plugin. However, I noticed it only crashes on exit if I use an
 account (e.g. aim or msn) in which I have typed buddy notes. If I use an
 account in which I haven't typed any buddy notes, pidgin doesn't crash.

 It's a useful plugin so I hope it gets fixed.
