 In my opinion, the priority on this needs to be changed to more than
 "minor".  AFAIK, using IM programs such as this one openly broadcasts all
 the content that is entered into the IM window -- and that content can be
 picked up with the right programs...

 My knowledge in this area may be limited, but I support Pidgin in a
 business environment and would like to know for sure that the contents we
 pass to each other daily are not open for plain text viewing.

 I see evidence that there is either something in the works, or something
 that works transparently that is already implemented, but no mention at
 all about encryption on any documents that I can find on this site.
 Please consider at least adding a blurb about encryption, if it does
 exist, or in rescheduling the priority of encryption for pidgin.
