 I love Pidgin, but my main beef with it right now is it doesn't have many
 /dothis commands. My wrists hurt all the time and I'm now learning dvorak
 to ease this. I'd essentially like to be able to not move my hands from
 the keyboard if necessary, and having a variety of commands at my
 fingertips helps that a lot.

 If the project leaders have no interest in this, please say so, I'll look
 into something else. I want to be able to do things like /away, /goim,
 /lastseen (my favorite feature of gaim, to see when someone was last on).
 Things like /clear or /close aren't big issues, because there are
 keybindings for those. /names to see who is on on your buddy list and
 display it in the current chat buffer would be awesome too. Nick
 completion would be awesome, but that sounds like a lot of work and I
 don't want to get my hopes up there.

 These commands are very IRC-like, and I apologize if I sound like somebody
 who's trying to irssi-ize Pidgin. Some of Pidgin's plugins however, such
 as Off-the-record messaging, are absolutely indespensible to me, as well
 as some integrated features such as the system tray alerts and buddy
 pounces.
