 Ok, I think I fixed this crash a day or two ago.  The fix will make it
 into Pidgin 2.1.0, which should be released within the next two weeks.

 I haven't been able to reproduce getting kicked out of a chat room though,
 and joining works for me 100% of the time, so it's hard for me to debug
 why that would happen.
