 This is not a commonly reported issue (in fact I'm not aware of any other
 reports of this); there must be something different about your situation
 that triggers this bug.

 A [wiki:TipsForBugReports debug log] might contain some useful
 information.

 I don't think this is at all related to sounds because sounds on win32
 don't spawn new processes like they do on some other systems.
